ON FEBRUARY 18, 2019 I DEPUTY JORSTAD WAS DISPATCHED TO THANNUM FIRE LANE NEAR THE INTERSECTION OF HIGHWAY 63. ONCE ON SCENE, I OBSERVED A WI DNR VEHICLE AND A SKIDOO SNOWMOBILE NEXT TO EACH OTHER. AFTER SPEAKING WITH BOTH PARTIES, UNIT 2 ADMITTED THAT THEY HAD NOT STOPPED FOR THE STOP SIGN ON TRAIL 63, THUS CAUSING A CRASH BETWEEN THE SNOWMOBILE AND THE VEHICLE. UNIT 1 WAS IN TRANSPORT TO CATCH UP TO THE SNOWMOBILE AS IT HAD DRIVEN THROUGH A STOP SIGN PREVIOUSLY. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. I PHOTOGRAPHED THE SCENE AND MAILED A CITATION TO UNIT 2.
