Narrative: I, a sworn law enforcement officer, agree that I have not added any CJIS data in this report.
ON JULY 1ST, 2017 I DEPUTY POPLIN WAS DISPATCHED TO A 1 VEHICLE CRASH ON STATE HIGHWAY 77 JUST NORTH OF FULEY LN. I ARRIVED AND OBSERVED A SINGLE VEHICLE MAROON PICKUP (UNIT 1) THAT WAS GOING NORTHBOUND ON STATE HIGHWAY 77 AND ATTEMPTED TO NEGOTIATE
A CURVE. UNIT 1 LOST CONTROL LEAVING THE ROAD WAY STRIKING THE DITCH AND SPINNING IN A HALF CIRCLE AND THEN STRIKING TREES. THE
DRIVER OF UNIT 1 ADVISED HE WAS GOING 60 MPH AND HIT A DIVOT IN THE ROADWAY. THE DRIVER ALSO ADVISED HE HAD A BAD TIE ROD AND HE
FELT IT GAVE WAY. THE DRIVER HAD MINOR INJURIES AND WAS GIVING OFF A SLIGHT ODOR OF INTOXICANTS. THE DRIVER ALSO SAID HE HAD
BEEN DRINKING THE NIGHT BEFORE.
