ON JUNE 24,2017, I, DEPUTY AMBER AL-MOGHRABI WAS WORKING PATROL FOR THE SAWYER COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPT. AT APPROXIMATELY 10:22 I WAS DISPATCHED TO STATE HWY 77 AND COUNTY ROAD OO FOR A 2 VEHICLE ACCIDENT. UPON ARRIVAL AT 10:32 I NOTICED ONE GRAY SUV IN
THE DITCH ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF HWY 77 AND ONE TAN TRUCK PARKED ON THE NORTH SIDE OF HWY 77. BOTH VEHICLES WERE FACING WEST
BOUND. I SPOKE TO THE FEMALE THAT WAS STANDING ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. SHE STATED SHE WAS TRAVELING WESTBOUND ON STATE
HWY 77 WHEN A LARGE TURKEY AND A FEW BABY TURKEYS STARTED TO CROSS THE ROAD. SHE STATED SHE SLAMMED ON HER BREAKS, WHICH
IS WHEN THE TRUCK BEHIND HER HIT HER, AND SWERVED TO THE LEFT. I ASKED FOR THE FEMALES DRIVERS LICENSE. SHE WAS IDENTIFIED AS
KARINA GRADY AND CAME BACK VALID AFTER RUNNING HER THROUGH DISPATCH. KARINA STATED SHE WAS DRIVING THE GRAY SUV THAT HAD MODERATE DAMAGE TO THE REAR END OF HER VEHICLE AND THE BACK WINDOW HAD SHATTERED. SHE STATED SHE WAS WEARING HER
SEATBELT AND THAT SHE WAS NOT INJURED. SHE STATED SHE WAS TRAVELING APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH. I THEN WENT TO SPEAK TO THE MALE
SUBJECT THAT WAS STANDING NEAR HIS TRUCK. HE STATED THAT HE SAW THE TURKEYS STARTING TO CROSS THE ROAD AND THEN SAW
KARINA SLAM ON HER BREAKS. HE STATED HE DID NOT HAVE ENOUGH TIME TO STOP AND HIT THE REAR END OF HER VEHICLE. I NOTICED THE
FRONT END OF HIS VEHICLE WAS SMASHED AND WAS NOT DRIVEABLE. THE AIRBAG ALSO WENT OFF IN HIS VEHICLE. I ASKED FOR HIS DRIVER'S

ITEM NUMBER 1700420-0001. I CONTACTED DISPATCH AND ASKED THEM TO SEND TOW TRUCKS FOR BOTH VEHICLES. ROADRUNNER TOWING TOWED KARINA'S VEHICLE AND A-1 TOWING TOWED PAUL'S. I CLEARED THE CALL AT 11:39 AND DEPUTY JEFSON STAYED ON SCENE TO ASSIST
WITH TRAFFIC.
