Description
Narrative: I, a sworn law enforcement officer, agree that I have not added any CJIS data in this report.
ON APRIL 19TH, 2017, I DEPUTY SHEPARD RESPONDED TO A TWO VEHICLE ACCIDENT ON STATE HWY 70 AT BUMBLEBEE RD. THE CRASH OCCURRED AT 4:14PM AND I ARRIVED ON SCENE AT APPROXIMATELY 4:23PM. THE TWO VEHICLES INVOLVED WERE A 2005 TOYOTA MATRIX
DRIVEN BY TIMOTHY K. DURAND AND A 2015 JEEP CHEROKEE DRIVEN BY DIANE L. FANDREY. I SPOKE WITH BOTH SUBJECTS ABOUT HOW THE
CRASH OCCURRED. FANDREY AND DURAND WERE BOTH DRIVING WEST ON ST HWY 70. DURAND WAS BEHIND FANDREY AND THERE WAS ALSO AN
UNIDENTIFIED VEHICLE THAT WAS REPORTEDLY DRIVING IN FRONT OF FANDREY. WHAT WAS BELIEVED TO BE A DOMESTICATED DOG RAN
ACROSS THE ROADWAY FROM SOUTH TO NORTH IN FRONT OF THE LEAD VEHICLE. THE LEAD VEHICLE STOPPED TO LET THE DOG CROSS AND
FANDREY STOPPED BEHIND IT. DURAND DID NOT SEE THAT BOTH VEHICLES HAD STOPPED UNTIL HE WAS TOO CLOSE AND CRASHED INTO THE REAR OF FANDREY'S VEHICLE. DURAND ATTEMPTED TO SWERVE RIGHT TO MISS THE COLLISION, BUT THE FRONT LEFT PORTION OF HIS VEHICLE
SWIPED THE BACK RIGHT PORTION OF FANDREY'S. PHOTO'S WERE TAKEN OF THE DAMAGES TO BOTH VEHICLE'S AND DURAND AND FANDREY
EXCHANGED INFORMATION. BOTH VEHICLES WERE STILL DRIVEABLE AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES TO EITHER SUBJECT.
