Description
Narrative: I, a sworn law enforcement officer, agree that I have not added any CJIS data in this report.
ON FEBRUARY 4, 2017 I WAS DISPATCHED TO 15430 W TAMARACK TRAIL FOR A REPORT OF A VEHICLE THAT HIT A TREE. UPON ARRIVAL I SPOKE TO CANDICE PATENAUDE WHO STATED SHE WAS LEAVING THE HOUSE THAT SHE CLEANS, TRAVELING EASTBOUND ON TAMARACK TRAIL AT
APPROXIMATELY 10 MPH WHEN SHE STARTED SLIDING AROUND THE CURVE. SHE STATED SHE TAPPED THE BREAKS TO TRY AND STOP, BUT SHE
SLID RIGHT INTO A POWER POLE. THIS HAPPENED APPROXIMATELY 1/2 MILE WEST OF HIGHLINE ROAD ON TAMARACK TRAIL. CANDICE STATED
SHE HAD BEEN SOBER FOR 5 YEARS AND HAS AN IID INSTALLED IN HER CAR SO SHE WAS NOT DRINKING AND SHE WAS WEARING HER SEATBELT.
SHE ALSO STATED SHE HAS PROGRESSIVE INSURANCE. I INFORMED DISPATCH THAT I WOULD BE TRANSPORTING CANDICE TO WHERE THE
ACCIDENT HAPPENED. UPON ARRIVAL I SAW THAT CANDICE'S VEHICLE HIT A POWER POLE HEAD ON. THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE, FRONT PASSENGER SIDE, AND WHOLE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE WAS SMASHED IN AND ONE OF THE HEADLIGHTS STARTED SMOKING. CANDICE STATED
SHE HAD ALREADY CALLED A-1 TOWING AND HER BOYFRIEND WHO IS A MECHANIC WOULD ALSO BE EN ROUTE. I TOOK PICTURES OF THE
VEHICLE AND FOUND THE SOURCE OF THE SMOKING ON THE HEADLIGHT TO STOP A FIRE. UPON ARRIVAL OF CANDICE'S BOYFRIEND, HE STATED
THE CAR WAS NOT DRIVABLE AND MOST LIKELY TOTALED DUE TO THE AMOUNT OF DAMAGE UNDER THE HOOD. HE ESTIMATED AT LEAST $2,000
WORTH OF DAMAGE. A-1 TOWING ARRIVED ON SCENE AND REMOVED THE VEHICLE. I CLEARED THE CALL AND ENTERED THE PHOTOGRAPHS
