Narrative: I, a sworn law enforcement officer, agree that I have not added any CJIS data in this report.
ON JANUARY 30, 2017 I, DEPUTY RIPCZINSKI RESPONDED TO A TWO VEHICLE CRASH INVOLVING A SEMI TRACTOR TRAILER AND A COMPACT CAR. UNIT 1 IS THE SEMI AND UNIT 2 IS THE COMPACT CAR. UNIT 1 AND UNIT 2 WERE TRAVELING WESTBOUND ON STATE HWY 27/70. UNIT 1 OBSERVED
UNIT 2 BEGINNING TO BREAK AND SIGNAL TO TURN RIGHT ON TO COUNTY HWY G. THE WEATHER CONDITIONS WERE BLOWING SNOW WITH SNOW
COVERED ROADS AND SLIPPERY CONDITIONS. UNIT 1 STATED HE BEGAN BRAKING BUT SKIDDED ON THE SNOW. UNIT 1 STATED THAT THERE WAS
A PULP TRUCK TRAVELING IN THE EASTBOUND LANE AND UNIT ONE WAS UNABLE TO GO INTO THE EASTBOUND LANE TO AVOID CRASHING INTO
UNIT 2. UNIT 1 STATED THAT UNIT 1 THEN TOOK THE NORTHERN DITCH, GOING THROUGH THE OJIBWA CLUB PARKING LOT AND ENTERED INTO
COUNTY HWY G. UNIT 2 HAD TURNED ONTO COUNTY HWY G AT THAT TIME TO PULL INTO THE OJIBWA SERVICE STATION PARKING LOT. AT THAT ITME, UNIT 1 WAS COMING THROUGH THE PARKING LOT ATTEMPTING TO STOP AND SLOW, AND CAME INTO CONTACT WITH UNIT 2 ON THE FRONT
PASSENGER PANEL/FRAME. THERE WAS DAMAGE TO THE FRONT PASSENGER QUARTER PANEL AND FRONT PASSENGER TIRE HAD A TEAR IN IT.
UNIT 2 WAS DRIVABLE TO THE OPERATORS RESIDENCE UP THE ROAD AND UNIT 1 HAD MINOR PAINT TRANSFER BUT NO NOTABLE DAMAGE. BOTH
UNITS HAD VALID INSURANCE. END OF REPORT.
