Description
Narrative: I, a sworn law enforcement officer, agree that I have not added any CJIS data in this report.
I WAS DISPATCHED TO A VEHICLE IN THE DITCH AT THE INTERSECTION OF CTH N AND CTH NN. I ARRIVED AND FOUND THAT IT WAS UNOCCUPIED AND HAD FRONT END DAMAGE FROM ENTERING THE DITCH AND HITTING A SMALL TREE. I DID A RECORDS CHECK OF THE VEHICLE. I HAD
DISPATCH SEE IF THERE WAS ANY PROPERTY OWNED BY THE RO IN THE AREA AND THEY ADVISED THAT THERE WAS A HOUSE CLOSE BY. I WENT
OVER TO THE HOUSE AND LOCATED THE MALE DRIVER. HE STATED THAT HE PUT IT IN THE DITCH A LITTLE AFTER MIDNIGHT. HE STATED THAT HE
THEN RECEIVED A RIDE BACK TO HIS CABIN. I ASKED WHY HE DIDN'T NOTIFY THE POLICE OF THE CRASH AND HE STATED THAT HE DIDN'T KNOW. I
ASKED IF HE HAD A CELL PHONE AND HE STATED YES. I THEN ADVISED HIM THAT HE WOULD RECEIVE THIS CITATION IN THE MAIL. I THEN ADVISED
THAT ROAD RUNNER WOULD BE TAKING THE VEHICLE TO THERE LOT. THE MALE THEN SHOWED UP AND DROVE THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE CABIN AFTER ROADRUNNER REMOVED IT FROM THE DITCH. ACCIDENT REPORT NUMBER IS 6VL151TJN3.
