Narrative: I, a sworn law enforcement officer, agree that I have not added any CJIS data in this report.
ON AUGUST 27TH, 2017 I DEPUTY POPLIN WAS DISPATCHED TO A CRASH ON USH 63 NEAR COOK RD. THIS WAS CALLED IN BY A PASSER BY. UPON ARRIVAL THERE WAS NO ONE AROUND THE VEHICLE AND IT LOOKED LIKE THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN THERE A WHILE. THE AMOUNT OF OCCUPANTS
WERE UNKNOWN AND THE DRIVER WAS UNKNOWN. WHILE ON SCENE ANOTHER VEHICLE DROVE BY THAT WAS REGISTERED TO THE SAME
OWNER. I MADE A TRAFFIC STOP ON THE VEHICLE AND SPOKE TO THE OWNER. THE OWNER SAID HER SON WAS DRIVING AND GAVE ME HIS
INFORMATION. THE OWNER ALSO SAID THE CRASH HAPPENED AROUND 05:20 THIS MORNING. THE OWNER SAID THEY CALLED THE TOW TRUCK
INDICATING THEY HAD THE ABILITY TO CALL A TOW TRUCK AND THE SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT BUT CHOSE NOT TO CALL THE SHERIFF'S
DEPARTMENT. I EXPLAINED THAT HER SON WAS GOING TO BE CITED FOR FAILURE TO REPORT AN ACCIDENT AND A CRASH REPORT WAS GOING TO BE COMPLETED.
