I, a sworn law enforcement officer, agree that I have not added any CJIS data in this report.
ON AUGUST 1ST, 2020, DEPUTY SHEPARD WAS DISPATCHED TO A ONE VEHICLE ROLLOVER ON STATE HWY 70 IN BETWEEN THE INTERSECTION OF CLOVER
RD AND BUMBLE BEE RD. WHEN DEPUTY SHEPARD ARRIVED ON SCENE THE VEHICLE INVOLVED IN THE CRASH WAS APPROXIMATELY 70 FEET OFF THE
ROADWAY TO THE NORTH. IT HAD SEVER DAMAGE TO ALL AREAS OF THE VEHICLE FROM ROLLING MULTIPLE TIMES AND THE FRONT END WAS FACING
EAST. THE VEHICLE WAS 2007 DODGE NITRO REGISTERED TO . THE DRIVER AND ONLY OCCUPANT WAS IDENTIFIED AS
. HAD CLIMBED OUT OF THE VEHICLE THROUGH THE PASSENGER DOOR AND WAS SITTING ON THE PASSENGER SEAT WITH HER FEET ON THE
GROUND. SHE WAS COMPLAINING OF BOTH NECK AND BACK PAIN AND THERE WERE NURSES ON SCENE THAT WERE HOLDING C-SPINE AND RENDERING
AID UNTIL EMS ARRIVED. ADVISED THAT SHE HAD BEEN TRAVELING WEST ON HWY 70. SHE STATED THAT THERE WERE KNOWN ALIGNMENT ISSUES
WITH THE VEHICLE AND THAT AS SHE WAS DRIVING STRAIGHT THE ALIGNMENT PULLED THE VEHICLE TO THE RIGHT GRAVEL SHOULDER. SHE ADMITTEDLY
OVER CORRECTED BACK TOWARDS THE CENTER OF THE ROAD FORCING HER TO JERK THE WHEEL BACK TOWARDS THE SHOULDER ATTEMPTING TO
STRAIGHTEN OUT AT WHICH POINT THE VEHICLE ROLLED ONTO THE DRIVERS SIDE. THE FIRST IMPACT WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE WEST BOUND LANE AND
THE VEHICLE THEN ROLLED MULTIPLE TIMES THROUGH THE DITCH TO THE NORTH SIDE OF THE HWY. IT CAME TO A STOP WHEELS DOWN. ALL OF THE
AIRBAGS WERE DEPLOYED OTHER THAN THE STEERING WHEEL AIR BAG AND OTHER DRIVERS THAT WITNESSED THE CRASH STOPPED IMMEDIATELY.
