ON APRIL 3RD, 2019, I, DEPUTY REED RESPONDED TO A ONE VEHICLE ACCIDENT ON STH 70 WEST OF THE INTERSECTION AT STH 27. I ARRIVED ON SCENE OBSERVING A SEMI-TRAILER HAD ROLLED ONTO ITS RIGHT SIDE ONTO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. IT APPEARED TO HAVE HAPPENED AS THE SEMI-TRAILER MADE A LEFT HAND TURN ONTO STH 70. I COULD SEE ITS TIRE TRACKS TRAVELING N/B ON STH 70, THEN NEGOTIATING A LEFT HAND TURN ONTO STH 70. I ALSO OBSERVED YAW MARKS ON THE ASPHALT LEADING UP TO THE OVERTURNED UNIT. I BELIEVED THAT THE SEMI- TRAILER HAD BEEN TRAVELING TOO FAST TO NEGOTIATE THE TURN. A REVIEW OF THE GAS STATION'S CAMERA FOOTAGE FROM THE INCIDENT SHOWS THE VEHICLE DRIVING INTO THE TURN AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED. THE DRIVER WAS IDENTIFIED AS . HE WAS SUBSEQUENTLY CITED FOR FAILURE TO MAINTAIN CONTROL.
