On April 21, 2005, the Sawyer County Board of Appeals approved with conditions your appli-
cation for variance on the following described real estate to wit:
Lot 1, being Part of Govt Lot 6, S 36, T 40N, R 9W, Parcel :6.2. Vol 549 Records Page
137, Vol 636 Records Page 35, Vol 677 Records Page 199; CSM Vol 16 Page 319. 1 .06
acres. Property is zoned Residential/Recreational One. Application is for the creation of
2-4 dwelling units within the footprint of an existing building currently operating as a res-
taurant and owner/manager living quarters. Variance is requested as Section 4.417, Lake
Class Development Standards, Sawyer County Zoning Ordinance, would provide for only
a single family dwelling unit at this location. The Town Board has approved.
The Board of Appeals approved the application as follows: approve for up to or not more than
four units; keep within the footprint of existing quarters; the slope to be preserved as is; no more
than 4 piers on the lake, or DNR limitation; completion deadline of April 19, 2007.
Findings of Fact and Conclusions of Law of the Board of Appeals: Strict application of ordi-
nance would render conformity with restrictions unnecessarily burdensome because of the prop-
erties in the area. The unit would fit in well with surrounding structures. The variance will not be
contrary to public interest and will observe the purpose of the ordinance and do justice because it
is not contrary to public interest. It will lessen the amount of traffic in the area and boat traffic on
the lake, and it would not be damaging to the rights of others and property values.
Any person or persons jointly aggrieved by this decision of the Board of Appeals may commence
an action in the Circuit Court far Writ of Certiorari to review the legality of this decision within
30 days after the date of this notice. In future correspondence, or in applying for permits, please
refer to Variance OS-008.
