On Friday, May 15, 2015 the Sawyer County Zoning Committee approved the
application for change of zone district on the following described real estate to wit:
Thomas G. Butterfield et al - Tony E. Butterfield, agent Part of Gov't lot 3, S 17, T 40N,
R 8W; Parcel 5301. Site Address: 12888W County Hwy E. Doc #248563 and#393553.
Property has 17 total acres. Change from District Industrial One to District
Residential/Recreational One. Purpose of request is to construct a dwelling. There are no
industrial activities being conducted on the property. The Town Board approved the
application with conditions.
The Sawyer County Zoning Committee approved the application as presented.
Findings of Fact of the Zoning Committee: It would not be damaging to the rights of
others or property values.
The Sawyer County Board of Supervisors must ratify the approval of the change in zone
district before it becomes final. This will be scheduled for the County Board meeting on
June 18, 2015 at 6:30 P.M., in the Circuit Courtroom of the Sawyer County Courthouse.
This decision is a recommendation to the County Board of Supervisors. Any person or
persons jointly aggrieved by the decision of the County Board may commence an action
in the Circuit Court for Writ of Certiorari to review the legality of the decision within 30
days after the date the decision is ratified by the County Board.

Re: Rezone Application
On the basis of the following Findings of Fact,Conclusions of Law,and the Record in this Matter,
the Town eoard of the Town of Bass Lake having considered said rezone application,be it
therefore resolved that said rezone is hereby:

FINDINGS OF FACT
The rezone would not be contrary to the public interest and would be in compliance with the
spirit and intent of the Sawyer County Zoning Ordinance and the Town of Bass Lake
Comprehensive Plan Section 8.10 because;
The establishment,maintenance,or operation of the rezone will not be detrimental to or
endanger the public health,safety,comfort or welfare because;
X it would not be damaging to the rights of others or property values,
X it would not be detrimental to ecology,wildlife,wetlands,or shorelands,
X it would not create an air quality,water supply or pollution problem,
❑it would not create topographical problems,such as run off,drainage,
erosion,flooding or vegetative cover removal.
The uses, values and enjoyment of other property in the neighborhood for purposes already
permitted shall not be, in no foreseeable manner, substantially impaired or diminished by
establishment, maintenance or operation of the rezone; and
The establishment of the rezone will not impede the normal and orderly development and
improvement of the surrounding property for uses permitted in the zone district; and
The rezone will conform to all applicable regulations of the district in which it is located because;
❑ it would not destroy prime agricultural land,
X it would be compatible with the surrounding uses and the area,
X it would not create an air quality, water supply or pollution problem,
❑ it would not create an objectionable view.
That adequate rneasures have been or wiil be taken to provide ingress and egress so designed as
to minimize traffic congestion in the public roads because;

The Town of Bass Lake Planning Committee recommends this decision to the Town Board.

Re: NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING DATE
Dear Mr. Butterfield;
Your application for a Change in Zone District will be considered at a Public Hearing before the
Sawyer County Zoning Committee on: Friday, May 15, 2015.
This Hearing will begin at 8:30 A.M. in the Sawyer County Courthouse, 10610 Main Street,
Hayward, Wisconsin.
It is recommended that either you or a representative be present at the Hearing. A lack of
information about the application may result in unnecessary delay of a decision. Failure to
appear may also result in the denial of the application.
If it is impossible for you or a representative to be present, please submit a written statement
addressed to James Bassett, Chairman of the Zoning Committee to the above address. This
statement should include the purpose of the request or your proposed intentions and a description
of the general terrain and surrounding development. Photographs of the properiy and/or buildings
would be beneficial. Indicate the undue hardship inflicted upon you by conforming to the present
zone district and the compatibility of the proposed use with the surrounding land uses and
indicate how your proposal would not be contrary to the public interest.
Your application will also go before the Town Board for their review. Some townships also
have a Planning Commission. Please contact the Town Clerk, Erica Warshawsky; 715-634-
8469 to confirm the date and time of the Planning Commission and Town Board meeting
for your attendance or the attendance of your agent.
