Paul Manka c/o Stone Lake Lumber P.O. Box 157 Stone Lake, WI 54876 Re: Variance Application#15-006 Dear Mr. Manka; Notice is hereby given that on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 the Sawyer County Zoning Board of Ap- peals approved your application for variance for the following proposal: Town of Sand Lake- Walter Herrman Rev. Trust d/b/a Stone Lake Lumber- Paul Manka,Agent. Lots 1&2, Block 4 Village of Stone Lake Original Plat. 519, T 39N, R 9W. Site address: #5865N Gibson Av- enue. Doc# 393948. Property has 0.303 acres and is zoned Commercial One. Application is for the con- struction of an attached 12' x 60' lean-to onto an existing 56' x 60' storage building. The proposed addi- tion would be 1' from the road right-of-way line and 34' to the centerline of Gibson Ave(a town road).Variance is requested as Section 4.21(3) Setback Requirements on Highways and Roads, Sawyer County Zoning Ordinance, would require the prior granting of a variance for any structure located closer than 63' to the centerline of a town road or 30' from the road right-of-way line whichever is greater. The Town Board approved the application with comments. The Board of Appeals approved the application as presented and waived the 2 year time limit to obtain a land use permit. Applications can be obtained at the Zoning Office. Findings of Fact of the Board of Appeals: The residents of Stone Lake are appreciative to the ef- forts the applicant is making to clean up and making the property more appealing to one's eye. Having the Town of Sand Lake's endorsement is a plus. It would not be damaging to the rights of others or property values; it is due to conditions that are unique to the property because of the way things are platted there and the topography of the land running downhill as well as the vil- lage road setbacks being less critical than the county's. There would be no change in use in the zone district; and it's enhancing the public safety and welfare having the lumber materials under a roof rather than laying out where the public could get hurt; it would also not be the basis of economic gain or loss. Any person or persons jointly aggrieved by this decision of the Board of Appeals may commence an action in the Circuit Court for Writ of Certiorari to review the legality of this decision within 30 days after the date of this notice.
